Snowmen

It's time get the snowmen out! Well, they've actually been out for quite a while, but I just haven't had time to post lately. I hope you understand. I love this time of the year, but sometimes too many wonderful things to do! 

It's been raining here in Southern California this week. Today's record breakingly cold! I'm hoping to see snow!

Snowman Necklace

I just made this adorable snowman necklace for my shop!  The pumpkin necklaces for the Pumpkin patch were such a hit that I'm making these for the Winter Faire in Dec. I'm planning to make at least 50 of them to be better prepared :o)

Winter Angel

Here's a delicate winter angel I created as a tree topper. She has a wire frame so she can sit snugly on top of a tree. She can also help to create a magical winter scenery on my nature table. I have a similar one on my shop.

Fairies at the Pumpkin Patch

Here are few of the fairies I took to our school pumpkin patch on Saturday. I had a booth there with my needle felted goodies, and these fairies and others found new homes to share their love & light. 

This fairy's even going all the way to Japan to be gifted to a very special friend.

Where to buy needle felting supplies

Some of you e-mailed me and others have been asking me where to buy the supplies needed to start needle felting. So here are a few places on the internet to buy them from:

*They have the best price on plain wool batting, which can be used as a base for most needle felting projects and stuffing for dolls. 

They don't have a website, but you can just call them and place an order!

You'll need: 

a felting needle (buy at least a couple so that you'll have extra in case it breaks), 

a foam piece (to place under the wool so you won't poke your legs or the table), 

some wool batting (1 lb. will last you a long time),

various wool rovings.

That's it! You can buys some pipe cleaners at the local craft store if you want to venture into making doll forms. I'm working on filming how to make various wool creations right now so be sure to look out for those.

Happy Birthday, Mason!

Here's a story I told as I lit candles on his birthday cake:

Dear Mason, seven years ago today, you were born.

When you turned one, you learned to walk.

When you turned two, you learned to talk very well.

When you turned three, you got your first tooth extracted and you were so brave.

When you turned four, you learned to ride a bike without training wheels.

When you turned five, you became a big brother.

When you turned six, you had your first wiggly tooth and got a visit from the tooth fairy.

And now, you're seven years old.

Happy birthday, Mason.

Then we went off to the park to meet some homeschool friends. 

I made tiny pumpkins for the children. Mason helped making them (of course).
